DISNEYLAND 2018!

Hi! I am currently in the planning process of our trip to Disneyland. Yes we are braving the  holiday crowds.  Stay tuned for pictures and reviews of my experience.  Disney has a really cool discount for service members in our military.  We will be experiencing the 3 day hopper option during this trip.  The Down side is you do not get to have the magic morning experience with these tickets however, for almost half the cost of a normal ticket I won’t be complaining.  I will add to my blog with my thoughts and reviews as we go. I am repeating the trip we took last year at thanksgiving. Below I will list some tips for planning a quick Disneyland getaway. (some are military but most are just things I have tried and researched).

  •  Military Salute Pass: 3 day hopper 2018 168.00 or 4 day hopper 188.00! AMAZING DEAL!!! ( they are renewing for 2019 at an increased cost).
  • NON- Military ticket discounts:  Watch sites like get away today on black Friday they often offer bigger discounts around that time of year.
  • Park estimates to have moderate to heavy crowds the weekend following thanksgiving.  Tip: get a max pass 10.00 extra per day SO WORTH IT!
  • Hit the popular rides early!!!! It’s usually less crowded in the early morning.
  • Get the Disneyland App. you can link your passes and access wait times, maps, food options etc. ( I would also bring a battery pack or your phone may die on you part way through the day).
  • Try to book hotel a few months in advance but also shop around. Check to make sure that if the hotel is not within walking distance that they offer a shuttle service. I am staying at one that is 3 miles away with a complimentary shuttle.
  • If you are on a budget also look at hotels that offer a breakfast plan or continental breakfast. Food in the park can get expensive quick! YOU CAN BRING FOOD AND DRINK WITH YOU!!!

The Journey Begins

Thanks for joining me! I love to travel especially, anything Disney. I have been going to Disneyland on a regular basis since I was 4 years old. As an adult, I love Disney even more than I did as a kid. I am so passionate about it that I have tried to get on with a at home travel agency. However, I haven’t been anywhere but Disneyland yet so I keep getting turned down. So, I decided to start this blog to inspire and help others who want to travel make there trip a success. I am planning on going to WDW in the next year.  After my upcoming trip to Disneyland. I hear too many times that people had a horrible time at the resorts because of the crowds and cost, etc. I want to change that and help people plan ahead so they can enjoy there time there and want to go back for more. I also hear that people just don’t have the time. So, I will be posting our weekend getaway trips and how to make the most of it and make every moment count!
